A lovely mahogany desk with green leather insets. We date this desk to the second half of the 20th century.
The desk comes in three parts, two pedestals and the top drawer section.
The desk has a central drawer over the kneehole area flanked by a smaller drawer to each side. Each pedestal has three small drawers.
The drawers are fitted with brass swan neck drop handles mounted on pierced brass backplates.
The top drawers are fitted with locks (key is supplied). The top surface of the desk is fitted with green leather inserts.
The desk has an overall height of 76cm, a width of 138cm and a depth of 77cm. The knee hole area has a width of 59cm and height of 58cm.
This lovely mahogany desk remains in very good solid condition with minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are marks to some edges and some wear to the leather inserts. There is a little bit of mellowing along the back edge of the desk.
This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany desk. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.

The A J White stamp on the inside states Extra Quality and Jermin Street, St James’s.
