A lovely vintage mahogany display cabinet. We date this cabinet to the first half of the 20th century.
The cabinet sits on four carved cabriole legs with ball and claw feet.
The front of the cabinet is of a three panel design with each panel being a side hinged door. The centre door being a solid bow front and the two outer doors being glazed.
The central door front has a central flame mahogany veneered panel framed with a moulded edge. The outer doors are glazed with glass panes housed in wood glazing strips forming an attractive geometric pattern.
All three doors are provided with working locks (key supplied).
The interior of the central cupboard is fitted with two fixed wooden shelves, each outer cupboard is fitted with two glass fixed height removable shelves.
The outer display sections have the original material lining. This is in a usable condition but is showing a bit of wear with some light marks as should be expected.
The main table top has an attractive gallery running it's length.
The cabinet has an overall height of 55.5" (141cm), a top surface height of 50" (127cm), a width of 50" (127cm) and a depth of 16.5" (42cm).
This lovely vintage mahogany cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some indentations and marks to the top surface and some of the edges from past use.
This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany display cabinet which could house a reasonable sized collection of objects d'art etc. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
